little notes
A few things to write of; thanks Jumbly for the ideas!
What was your favorite birthday, any why? Or most memorable, if it isn't the same.
I guess I can think of one memorable/favorite: Though I can't remember exact dates, I must have been around 25? I was living in Boston's North End (as you all know one of the most happiest periods of my life) and met a bunch of friends in New Orleans for about a week. (The only time I'd never been when it was not jazz festival.) We flew in separately but stayed at the same hotel, just scoured the city and went even to the most obscure places to hear music, and it was the time of my life. I felt beautiful and independent and free and loved, and just full of life, never tired of anything, and I was so in love with my friends right back, and it was the best time... And then when I came back a TON of best friends & co-workers threw a huge elaborate surprise party for me. I had never had one before! It was amazing. (I'm sure I'll think of some more best-b-days to write about.)
Have your parents seen your nose since the surgery? Did they notice anything?
I am not sure if/what they would have noticed... Though it was such a small change and I probably could have gotten away with it without telling them, we just thought it would be better to say something -- because if they did end up noticing and we hadn't, it might have hurt their feelings that we didn't tell them, if you know what I mean?
What is something you would do/buy from Tom if money were no object?
Oh that is tough. Something to do with his photography hobbies, like get him a little studio and/or place to show/sell his photos, with a workroom where he could do all that complicated stuff I have no idea about. Or/also a workshop where he could make & design furniture, a dream of his.
What is something you would do/buy for yourself?
I can't really think of anything to buy... except maybe a new home up in Nob Hill! But I would, if money were no object, love to quit my job and only do volunteer work underprivileged kids in the city. And maybe even set up some kind of funding/scholarship thing for them, and fix up the youth centers, help fund them and their activities. That would be my dream.

I love what you would buy for "yourself".
