back to work
Oh we had such a great time at the Cypress Inn! It was lovely. They even left me a birthday card and chilled champagne in our room the first night. (And Tom opened it and we shared some on the couch, he said it was my bday so a special occasion!)
It was great. And Guapo had a good time (but he needs to go on a diet now because he had too many treats.)

Tom is always more affectionate when we are on vacation for some reason... Like he takes the initiative to hold my hand a lot, or put his hand on my back while we walk, or he'll absentmindedly put his hand on my leg... He does that a lot on the weekends too.
Sometimes when it happens I get this weird surreal feeling, like I am in a movie or something. I know he is completely absentminded about the whole thing, putting a hand on my thigh while we are eating or watching TV, but I often get this weighted feeling, like I have gotten something I do not deserve. Like I am very lucky.
Or, it's almost the same feeling you get when someone comes up to you and says he recognizes you from a long time ago, and you don't want to admit you don't recognize him back, but you are flattered and remember that time he is referring to -- you remember yourself from that past time in a nostalgic way and you wish you had some part of yourself back, so you could be the way this person is thinking of you as.

Is it so bad to think that you are very lucky? I don't think that's a bad thing. I was just thinking about my "old' self the other day. Wondering if she was better than the boring "current" me.. Life is strange sometimes. I'm glad that you had a good time away :) Thanks for always reading my blog! That makes me feel lucky!
You guys look wonderful and, most importantly, happy in that pic. (well, not most important that you LOOK happy but that you are.) I'm so glad to hear you had a good weekend.
