things past
Things I just remembered from my childhood that probably no one else does!
- Rollerskate-blades you could hook-on to your everyday shoes (remembery the platforms with straps and wheels?)
- A typewriter -- in it's own suitcase! You could open up and it would be in it's case, ready to use. (Remember the white-out tape?)
- A tape cassette player. I use to try and record songs from the radio, holding a radio in front of the cassette player, and hitting 'record' at just the right moment
- A lunchbox (Elvis of course... and also had one with the Muppets)
- Penny loafers (with the pennies)
- A scarf-belt (with a fray)
- A black-&-white TV
- A rotary phone
- I also remember using dimes for payphones
- Drive-thru banks (with the airborne canister!)
- Press-on nails
- One-pieces (as in, bathing-suits AND pant-suits AND pajamas)
- Coulotts
- Sun-In (if you don't know what that is I am not going to tell you)
- A Big-Wheel!!!
- Wine coolers
- Tube socks
- A Trapper-Keeper
- etch a sketch
- Going to a movie cost $5.50

Oh my god! I hope you all have a good weekend. I love you. :)
I am sitting here at work, at a loss for words since I just overheard someone in the kitchen say "My panties are in a bunch". And I think it might have been the old guy from corporate.

Man, do I miss $5 movies!!
I also used to record songs from the radio on tapes. I even figured out how to record songs from my favorite movies and tv shows to tapes, and I'm pretty sure I still have quite a few in a drawer around here somewhere.
Ohh! I love your list. We still have a Muppets lunch box. We had a rotary phone! Sun-In, I spent a lot of $$ on that junk one summer, thinking that I needed to be blonde instead of a red-head. It's funny that wind coolers is on there because I was just looking at them in the grocery ad! Trapper Keepers I remember.
What is Sketch-Up? :)
:)
Oof, Sun-in. What a horror of a hair-do that produced!
Plenty of folks remember these things, I'm sure! Remember Operation and Simon? Reading Rainbow? Pop Rocks? Shrinkie Dinks?
