female problem
I guess you know a little about me by now and why my period stopped so many years ago, about 12, 13 years. At first doctors just let it go; then I changed doctors around a bit and kept telling them about it, and they kept saying it's no matter, it's not necessary. I was totally fine with that.
And then suddenly a few months ago my new doctor decided for some reason it would be best if I had it again. She had me take some pills for a few weeks, and I didn't think anything would come of it, yet it must have jump-started it or something because the last few months, I am actually getting it... for at least 2 or 3 days at the beginning of the month.
I HATE IT. I feel so awful. It makes my stomach hurt so bad. I can't get up to run in the morning when it's happening... And I don't even know when it's going to happen. I have to carry a pad in my purse.
I didn't even tell Tom about it because for some reason I feel embarrassed by it, like it is not a 'normal' thing to happen... I am just not used to it.
I know I am complaining about something that happens to women all the time!!! ... I just don't want it to happen to me dammit! And I don't really understand why it's necessary; I should ask in more detail. (Also years ago I had a tubal ligation so I don't know what this means in relation to that.)
Damn. Sorry today is the day I'm feeling like a sluggish, fluish piece of crap and feel like complaining.

if you can't complain here, then where can you do it?
I hope you can find out why your doc decided to happen now. Hopefully as the months go by it becomes more regular and less awful.
Or if there's no concrete reason for it to be happening, then request to go back to not having it.
I was told when I was very young that not consuming much sodium around that time helps, and I think it's true (maybe!).
xoxo.
Now worries about complaining, girl, we all understand!
I would do some research online to see if you really need your period. Also, I'd either talk to the current doctor about how you feel or find another doc who'll listen. It's easy to forget, but THEY work for US. Find someone who will actually take your concerns to heart.
Oh, absolutely ask why it's necessary!
And I'm sure it's a drag. Lots of women have period issues, including me. It's part of being a woman, for better or for worse. Xo to you!

Well that really sucks. Definitely find out why, and tell the doc everything that is happening and how terrible you feel. You might want to tell Tom, I mean it really isn't anything to be embarrassed about but if you feel so terrible it's better for him to know why.. I'm sure you'll start feeling better :)
Between being pregnant and breastfeeding (which supresses your period) I have not been on the rag for over a year and it is awesome. I can totally understand why you hate it. I am loathing the day my plumbing starts to work again because I am LOVING it!
If you are hating it that much, talk to your doctor about wanting to stop your period again or maybe get a second opinion.
