in review

Ok, so it turns out I have something called "benign paroxysmal positional vertigo". Whoever heard of that? It even has it's own acronym: BPPV. Yay. It is "idiopathic", which means is caused by no real specific reason, it just happens. (Very suitable term for myself, actually.) Often due to age.

I also went to the dermatologist and she ran some blood work on me, should get that back soon and she'll be able to tell if I have any troubles... But otherwise she didn't really know what was causing my skin & hair trouble unless it is from stress, so we will see. It could be hormonal. I am to start using R0ga1n in the meantime. (LUCKILY I don't see anything wrong with my head from the outside view, it just seems like a lot coming out, so I'm not sure where it's coming from... Weird. And panicky.)
____________

Anyways, getting stressed at work. Just had meeting where new projects coming up that everybody was like 'oh well, i'm doing this, i'm kinda busy, blah blah blah' kind of pushing it off onto me, so I'll take it over... whereas we made a chart showing everyone's list of projects, and mine is the longest. I am always so busy and they seem to be on their Facebook accounts much of the day and taking long lunch breaks. It is a little frustrating.

I did just get my first year review last week and got praise, and a small raise... I got the usual things, being called a 'work horse' and a 'speed demon', and the usual disclaimer about the raise, "I asked for more but this is all I could get"... And the infamous "I don't have anything negative to put on your review but I have to put something so I'm going to say you need to work on being more assertive". I get that Every Single Time. (Tom says, 'well you are probably still making less than everyone else being the woman.")

But I should not complain about a good review. I am happy to get it.

So what can they do for your BPPV? Maybe you need to start being "too busy" :)
Thanks for stopping by. My house is pretty plain! It's an old house like 50+ years, built by my grandpa, it's got "character". I'm nearly as cool as I appear :)

I will have to look up this affliction -- I've never heard of it.

And good news about the great review! But yeah, that is not cool that things keep being pushed onto you. Xo
